[04]-STUDIOS™ is a design studio in Trieste, Italy. We make clothing that starts outside.

01 / THE PHOTO

It started with one person in Trieste who goes outside, looks, and comes back to draw. In 2021 a photo taken at Lago di Misurina became a design for a client, who rejected it. A month later it became a sweater, €50 went into ads, and it spread. On 17 November 2021 we opened our first drop. The Misurina Sweater is still our best seller.

02 / OUTSIDE

We don't design from screens. We go up to the Carso, down to the sea at 6 am, into the Dolomites. Bark, rock, moss, water. We bring back what we find.

Every color has a source. Our green, Muschio #808D45, comes from a version of our logo that looks half eaten by moss. We kept it that way.

03 / WHAT BREAKS

Not everything worked. Samples came back wrong, deadlines slipped, drops arrived late. We'd rather delay a piece than ship one that isn't right.

04 / THE SIGNAL

The bars above our name are 04 in Morse code. Most people never notice. That's fine.
